Bruno G. Arantes is an audiovisual artist, producer and technical director. His artistic practice brings moving images, space, light and sound together to create visual languages for the stage. He works across opera, performing arts and immersive experiences, collaborating with directors, musicians and set designers. In 2019, he founded Madrid Produce Scenics and Designs.[1]
For Pagliacci at the Teatro del Bicentenario de San Juan, he joins the audiovisual development team with Djalal Dufetelle, Felipe Giuliano and Pedro Giuliano.[2]
La flauta mágica is also part of his work as an audiovisual artist in opera. Alongside Pagliacci, it traces an artistic practice in which images are conceived in relation to music, performance and set design.
The relationship between music and place continues in Zarzuela Monumental. He is executive producer of the Hispanidad version, with musical direction by Miquel Ortega, dramaturgy and stage direction by Francisco Matilla and visual artistic direction by Felipe Giuliano. At the Retiro, the project used the Alfonso XII monument as a space for sound and image to close San Isidro 2023.[4]
His film work includes production and technical direction on Felipe Giuliano’s El vals sin nombre, co-produced with David Torres, and a production credit on María Guerra’s documentary Señorías. In the latter, four women judges discuss their profession and their place in society. Within his career, the imagined worlds of fiction and the attentive listening of documentary share the practical work of bringing each film’s people and resources together.[5][3]
